Panasonic has come out with a 3D TV for your home and now we’re at the point where I think we may have finally hit technology overload. I can barely keep track of where I put my car keys never mind having to find 3D glasses when I want to watch an episode of The Golden Girls! The last thing I need is to be watching TV on my giant 3D set and accidentally land on an episode on Larry King Live, I could lose an eye if one of those suspenders pops!
I will fully admit to being 100% addicted to my iPhone and I also have no problem confessing that every time a commercial for the Apple iPad comes on I start to salivate. But shouldn’t there be a cut off when crazy, cool technology becomes too available to us? Pretty soon we’ll end up shut ins with only our cool crap to keep us entertained. I can buy groceries on the internet along with movies, music, and books. Heck, I can buy my undies on the world wide web, not that I’ll need them since I don’t foresee ever having to leave the house! If I need to talk to a friend we can Skype, I’ll sit at my desk. Technically I won’t even have to wear pants as long as the camera is positioned shoulders up! So thank you geek squad for coming up with all of this stuff that I’ll end up blowing my money on and 2 months later a newer, more advanced model will come out leaving me no option but to buy it. Thank you Steve Jobs and Bill Gates for making everything I’ve ever wanted completely accessible from the comforts of my own home. We will soon be a society of pasty, antisocial hermits only having to communicate when it’s absolutely necessary. Oh well, if you can’t beat em, join em! I’ll be in my home office in front of my computer, until my forced interaction with another human being happens. The Peapod guy will be here any minute with my groceries, hopefully he didn’t man handle my melons.

1. in all seriousness, i think, even if i never left the house again, i would still wear underwear.
2. please put your pants on before the peapod guy gets there, or i can promise he will manhandle your melons.
